Hydroxypropyl Starch Ether · Recommended formulation recipes by application type
All dosages are expressed as % by weight of total dry mix. Exact ratios should be validated through laboratory testing under EN 12004 conditions. Contact Landu technical support for customized formulation guidance.
Follow these five steps to achieve maximum bond strength, coverage and durability with ST3431-based tile adhesive systems.
Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and structurally sound. Remove dust, grease, loose material and any previous coatings before application.
Mix adhesive uniformly to a lump-free consistency. Apply with a notched trowel — select 4–12 mm notch depth according to tile size and weight.
Achieve ≥ 80 % adhesive coverage for standard dry areas. Wet areas, pools and exterior facades require ≥ 95 % full-contact coverage.
Allow 24–48 hours of adequate curing before grouting. Foot traffic and load bearing should be avoided until full bond strength is achieved.
Protect freshly tiled surfaces from direct sunlight, rain and freezing temperatures for a minimum of 48 hours after installation.
Professional experts provide custom C1 / C2 formulation design, performance testing support, and installer training — tailored precisely to your mortar system requirements.
